The Palms Hotel and Casinos is building Palms Place, a 599 unit condo hotel tower as part of its $600 million expansion program for the Palms, which resides on 34 acres on West Flamingo Road. The expansion will introduce some firsts for Las Vegas and complement the local and celebrity clientele known to frequent the Palms. Developer Maloof said his project will be different because the Palms has a celebrity following, and a significant number of stars -- including NFL and NBA players, A-list Hollywood actors and rock stars -- will be reserving units in the tower. The tower will be exclusive because only one will be built unlike other projects where multiple towers are planned over time.
