NO SWIMMING POOL IN YOUR LAS VEGAS HOME?
If you aren't fortunate enough to have a swimming pool in your Las Vegas home, you might want to consider booking into a hotel for the weekend to beat the heat. While most Vegas hotels have swimming pools, some are more impressive than others - here are some of our favorites:
1. MANDALAY BAY BEACH RESORT:
You can't go swimming in Las Vegas without checking out the pool, or should I say "beach," at Mandalay Bay. This 11-acre resort features a sandy beach area, complete with palm trees, lounge chairs and umbrellas, plus eight pools, including wave pool and lazy river, and the adult-only, Moorea Beach Club. For those who can't keep away from the tables, visit the beachside casino with its own restaurant and gaming, cabanas and pool.
2. COSMOPOLITAN HOTEL FUN POOL:
Enjoy fun in the sun at the Cosmopolitan Hotel swimming pool. Perfect for those people who can't sit still, the pool area is equipped with pool tables, ping pong tables, foosball and a huge pool area.
3. BELLAGIO SWIMMING POOL:
Evoking the same upscale persona as the hotel, the pool at the Bellagio is perfect for the sunbather looking for a more relaxing atmosphere, free from the chaotic beach clubs found at other hotels. Elegant chaise lounges and cabanas line the pool area which allows swimmers to cool off under a mini version of their signature fountain
.4. CAESARS PALACE "GARDEN OF THE GODS POOL OASIS":
Overflowing with fountains and modern lounge chairs amid roman pillars and statues, the swimming pool at Caesars Palace, is more than just a pool, it's a "Pool Oasis." Complete with Evian face spritzers, Garden of the Gods features eight pools, spa, swim-up blackjack, and topless sunbathing in the Venus pool.
5. THE POOL AT ARIA
The pool at Aria doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some of the others, but with a 215,000 square-foot pool area, complete with 3 pools, palm trees and lush landscaping, this is one of the more relaxing and uncrowded Las Vegas pools you will find. The Liquid Pool Lounge is their version of a day club, located next door.
6. THE FLAMINGO SWIMMING POOL
The Flamingo caters to both adults and families in a 15-acre, lush retreat, complete with silver pheasants and, ...yes, real flamingos. The family-friendly Lower Lagoon pools at the Flamingo Beach Club offers the perfect wet playground with water slides and shaded grotto. The adult playground is located next door at Go Pool, and features cabanas, live DJ and bar.
7. MGM GRAND - MEGA SWIMMING POOLS
"BIG" is the best way to describe the pool area at the MGM Grand. With 6.6 acres of pools, whirlpools, waterfalls, an 8,000 foot lazy river and water volleyball, you could easily spend the whole day here. For those seeking the adult "daylife" experience, visit Wet Republic with DJ, two saltwater pools and bar.
8. MIRAGE POOL
Certainly one of the most beautiful pools in Las Vegas, the Mirage swimming pool features two pools, water slides and elaborate tropical landscaping that includes an island, waterfalls and several lagoons. The adjacent adult pool club, Bare, offers luxury poolside service for the 21 and over crowd.
9. VENETIAN SWIMMING POOL
The Venetian features five pools with cabanas and chaise lounges, but no pool toys. This is a popular swimming area, often used for special events and commercials. During the summer, you'll find TAO Beach - a wet version of the TAO Nightclub.
10. TROPICANA SWIMMING POOL
Popular with the younger folk, the Tropicana pool area features five acres with lush landscaping, and three pools with lagoons and waterfalls. If you're over 21 and looking for a party, check out the Lagoon pool.
