HOUSING DISTRICTS FOR CLARK COUNTY

The Clark County School District is the 6th largest in the United states, with over 230,000 students. Anywhere from five to ten new schools are being completed every year in Las Vegas just to keep up with the tremendous growth of the Las Vegas Valley. Despite this rapid increase, test results remain consistently good, and Green Valley High School has even been ranked in the top 10 of all high schools in the United States.

There are a variety of both public and private schools available to residents, and many have their own web sites with school specific news and activities. Clark County also provides each student and his/her parents free access to a web site with information on student classes, homework assignments and upcoming school events.

Many parents prefer to choose their home in an area with highly ranked schools. You can check out the overall rankings of the individual schools at Clark County School Rankings, then you can search for homes for sale within those school districts here on GreatLasVegasHomes.com.

The Clark County School District is overseen by The Superintendent of Schools and a Board of School Trustees, all community leaders who are elected to overlapping four-year terms and represent a specific geographic region of Clark County. Each trustee represents a different region, and most have attended the Clark County School District. The district also currently employs 604 guidance counselors; 248 at the 49 high schools, 33 in the education services division schools, 150 at the 59 middle schools, and 181 at the 206 elementary schools.
